Chi-Chian rises again!

Well, I guess Sucker Punch got me all riled up (see last post).  As often happens, I juggle so many things at any given time that sometimes, I completely forget about certain projects or they fall into the background long enough to seem forgotten. In any case, last year, with an option agreement in place to develop Chi-Chian into a live action feature film, I thought about Chi-chian a lot.  But when the option expired and I found myself writing and rewriting "Call of the Jersey Devil", working on a bunch of Deady toys, promoting the country record, writing a new record and seemingly always on tour, the old girl got a little neglected.  Well, I'm getting back on track with Chi-chian.  Just this week I started writing an outline for a Chi-chian feature film screenplay. I've waited too long for someone to step in and do this for me so now it's time I do it myself.  And how better to keep the story close to what it should be, right? So hopefully, I'll actually have a script to shop around.  It's a language that Hollywood understands. I've always been amazed at how I can walk into a meeting with a stack of Chi-chian comic books, drawings, a role-playing game, a maquette, the web series on DVD, etc... just really hit them with how much content there already is for this story and the usual response I get is, "I don't get it, where's the script"?  So hopefully this will cure that problem and we can get moving forward.

I also REALLY want to write it as a novel. I guess I must have a burning desire to become a Sci Fi author! lol!  But in truth, I just love telling her story and I'm very verbose (which doesn't work for screenplays).  A novel would be the best way to be able to really describe her world in great detail and describe what she's feeling emotionally.  It excites me tremendously!  Again... I just have to find the time.

In the meanwhile... I will be posting episodes from the Chi-Chian "The Black Seed" webseries I originally made for the Sci Fi Channel's website back in 2000.  An episode will go up every Tuesday at 8pm every week until they are all up.  This week's episode will go up early due to a scheduling conflict. You can see them under FILMS right here on www.voltaire.net

I hope you enjoy the world of Chi-chian as much as I do!

Cheers!

Voltaire

Not to say you cant crank out a few curls or skull crushers, but they need to be far more of a supplemental exercise and you seriously really should be focusing your intensity on the exercises that you simply are going to get extra out of

It was Hilarious, but i decided to try and put you in their database so this mistake doesn't happen to any of your other fans. 2. I'm going to dragon*con next weekend, and was wondering... I've enjoyed Voltaire for many, many years. I've had the priviledge in getting to know his works, and encourage people to see him live as he is a great artist...the one thing that sets him apart from other entertainers, is that he strives to make personal contact with his fans, and gives them the experience of..well.. him.... His personality is magnetic, though I think there are many women (and men too, I'm sure) that find him incredibly sexy as hell. But for those that truly admire his works of art, there is a sneaking suspicion he has his namesake, as was given, for a reason, and lives up to it. (Kinda like Ludwig Van Halen...he was bound for greatness with inheriting that name) there IS a sense you are in the presence of greatness, and to bask in the light of it makes you feel extra special. That kind of personal connection in an entertainer, who makes you think, is hard to find these days. This is another notch in his hat..and as usual I'm looking forward to it. Just my ramblings, Voltaire, and though I may have a had my alcohol early on this evening, doesn't make this any less true....;) With much Love and Respect Salut *raises her glass*- Roses =^.^=~

Heather, I definitely plan to do it. And I definitely want to do it. I just have to find the time somehow... V

Hey V, I can't wait to see more Chi-Chian episodes, and I hope you're going through with making a script! I would LOVE to see a full-length Chi-Chian movie! PS I'm mad I couldn't get up to I-Con this year and I missed you!

A novel AND a movie would be amazing. I also hope you finish compiling the Chi-Chian comics into one graphic novel, because I never got the chance to read them (I'm only thirteen). With all that, all that would be missing is a video game. Break a leg, Voltaire!
Tina April 14, 2011 @12:41 am
The Chi-chian novel would be amazing! I really hope you are able to write it. Thank you for making the webseries available, it's fun and I look forward to each episode.
Andrea April 13, 2011 @06:55 pm
Hey V, I personally enjoy reading more than anything, so the prospect of a novel is music to my ears, so to speak. I'm very interested to see what unfolds. btw, regarding your noose-letter question about blogging: My two cents is to blog whenever you have something to say, but do try to check in monthly;) (If a forum is not in the schedule anytime soon) Good luck with all the rest, and I am purely enjoying the Chi-chian episodes! -Andrea

I will be ready to purchase my ticket to see her on the big screen, post haste.

This would be amazing, and you'd get noticed even more. But I do like the idea your music is more "underground" per se. And when I recommend you, people are like "ohhh this is goood". Anywho, wish the best for you! (:
